Gas Range & Cooktop Installation in Guelph

From a new line in the kitchen to the final leak test, we connect your gas range or cooktop properly.

A gas range is the appliance people most often want to bring into a Guelph kitchen — and the one most often installed badly. The connector kinks behind the stove, the shut-off is unreachable, the anti-tip bracket is missing, or nobody leak-tested the joints. We handle both the gas side and the appliance side so it's done once, correctly.

New ranges, replacements and conversions

If gas is already in the kitchen, a replacement is quick: new connector, shut-off check, leak test, level and anti-tip. If you're converting from electric, we run a new line to the kitchen (see gas line installation), and coordinate the electrical decommissioning. Dual-fuel ranges need both a gas line and a 240V circuit; we make sure both are ready before the range is delivered.

Cooktops and wall ovens

Gas cooktops installed in a counter cutout need a properly routed line inside the cabinet with an accessible shut-off, plus attention to clearances and any downdraft or hood venting. We frequently pair cooktop installs with a matching electric wall oven (installed under our appliance installation service).

Frequently asked questions

Can you convert a propane range to natural gas?

Usually yes, with the manufacturer's conversion kit — orifices and regulator. We do the conversion and test every burner.

What if my kitchen only has an electric outlet?

We run a gas line to the kitchen and coordinate with an electrician for the old 240V circuit if needed.

Do you install high-end ranges (Wolf, Thermador, etc.)?

Yes. Professional-series ranges have specific clearance, gas supply and sometimes electrical requirements; we've installed plenty across Guelph.

Do I need a range hood?

Ontario code doesn't require one for every gas range, but venting combustion byproducts outside is strongly recommended. We'll advise based on your kitchen.
